Celebrate 45 years of the FEZ Berlin with us!

It doesn't matter one jot if it rains, snows or thunders today because it's our birthday! Our doors are open from 3rd to 6th October as we mark this milestone by giving you the opportunity to explore every facet of our iconic building. Enjoy interactive sessions for all interests and tastes, take part in guided tours, listen to live music and revel in the party atmosphere. Not forgetting our big interactive birthday cake!
We look forward to seeing you for one big celebration!

On weekends, there is limited parking space and each space costs €3.00. We recommend using public transport.

Stage, Workshops & More

Take a look behind the scenes with our guided tours and enjoy our colourful on.stage programme featuring dance, quizzes, juggling, clowning around and interactive workshops. Rock along to Suli Puschban, rap with Fargo and razzle dazzle with the Razzelbande. Meanwhile, on the Sunday, prepare to be amazed by a breathtaking bubble show.

Activities from the FEZ employees

The Astrid Lindgren Stage is offering you the chance to take a look behind the scenes and make your own Pippi Longstocking spoon puppets. The Orbitall Centre invites you to take part in astronaut training. The ALICE Museum for Children will lead you around the "Susi & Us" exhibition while also including some superhero-themed crafts. Team Schule will work with you on projections in the FutureLab and get the oven ready for some healthy cooking in our new Learning Kitchen. With the young adults from the Young Projects, you'll discover the medium of radio afresh and maybe even go live on air. You'll be able to try out new instruments with the support of the State Music Academy. And if, despite all that, you'd rather be outdoors, you can always take a green green green stroll around the Eco Island.

Experimenting, dancing and designing 

The JugendTechnikSchule im FEZ invites everyon who has a love for experimenting and inventing to help build illuminated stars. Creative minds can use clay to make works of art with the Kinder- und Jugendkeramik im FEZ e.V.. If you like a miniature railway, then you should go and get acquainted with the 500mm Feldbahnprojekt e.V.. The Kinderfilm Berlin e.V. has a range of moving pictures for you in our fezino cimena. Meanwhile, the Berlin Children's & Youth Ballet Club "pas de trois" e.V. is putting their best foot forward and you can too.

Experience creativity and diversity 

With the INGenius laboratory for young talent, you can give free rein to your creativity and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of technology - from 3D printing to building robots. Lovers of nature can create interesting collages with the KiEZ Hölzerner See. The Omas gegen Rechts movement and the Demokratiemobil invite you to join in a range of activities that promote tolerance and democracy. With ANOHA on.tour, you can set an example for diversity by building one of their arks. Last but not least, don't miss out on the Drehwürmer Interactive Circus.

An Anniversary Film Exhibition
To mark the FEZ's Berlin, we'd like to show you a little piece of the building's history. Look forward to seeing short sequences and hearing the fascinating perspectives and experiences of the people who work or have worked here.

Cool Technology

Make interactive art with the Tagtool app, see how you get on controlling the dash robots, test VR glasses or dive into greenbox worlds. Wannabe filmmakers can have a go at creating their own stop motion films. At the Radio der Zukunft, you have the chance to get to know the medium of radion in whole new ways as well as going live on air.

Adventure Worlds

Play, slide, discover!

Discover what it's like to be an astronaut in the Orbitall Centre or become a racing driver on the bobby car track. Enter magical worlds with the Mad Hatter's tea party, try constructing all manner of tricky little buildings and let off steam in the GIANT play area, the pumptrack and the bouncy cushions. There's also a special section dedicated to "everything that rolls", where you can try out all manner of vehicles.

Relaxation & Healthy Eating

Head to the photo corner to make the most beautiful photographic memories - ideally decorated with some imaginative face painting. Bake muffins and add your contribution to the big birthday cake. Do something nice for others by leaving positive messages in the happiness office, all while enjoying the atmosphere created by lights shows and black light set-up. If you do prefer to be in the great outdoors, take a trip out to the Eco Island and if you need a break head to the relaxation room and the reading room. A specially tailored toddler oasis has also been created to make sure our youngest guests don't feel left out. 

Creative Fun

Painting, glueing, crafting!

Design crazy hats at the crazy hat salon, bmake birthday decorations and make some impressive artwork when you try light painting. The FEZ building site is the place for you to test your cardboard building skills and the screen printing workshop is a great place for creative types looking for a new outfit (bring a spare t-shirt with you!). If you have a musical ear, then waltz on down to our instrument testing station, while those with a love for superheroes should head to the Alice Museum. There's rarely any better place to be than Pippi Longstocking's Villa Villekula - help renovate her home! And don't forget to enter our FEZ mascot contest. We look forward to seeing how your creations look and what super powers they have!
 

History: The FEZ Then & Now

The history of the FEZ could not be any more interesting. So much has happened since it was founded in the GDR as the Pionierpalast. It is going stronger than ever today as it successfuly made the jump into reunified Germany. Every change is seen as an opportunity!
