What's important to us
It's very important that we all treat each other with respect. Every single visitor is welcome just as they are. Diversity is an important part of life and we welcome everyone regardless of gender, nationality, sexuality, ethnic background, religion and world view, disability and identity. The opinions of other participants should be respected and the instructions given in workshops and by workshop instructors and staff should be adhered to.

We believe that every interaction should be non-violent and non-aggressive. This goes for verbal interactions as well as non-verbal interactions. This event should be a place where everyone feels comfortable. For that reason, we will not tolerate any form of discrimination, racism, sexism, hostility towards any LGBTQ+ group, transphobia, ableism and adultism. If you witness anything like this or anything else that makes you feel uncomfortable, we ask you to communicate it openly to our staff. Any rule breaches will be taken seriously and will come with consequences.

If you and your class are unable to take part having already registered, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible so other people have the chance to take part in your place. We ask that you arrive in good time to ensure registration can take place quickly. Please also consult the FEZ house rules.

Breaking the rules
There will be consequences to every act ot violence, cheating, discrimination and theft. And rule breaking or behaviour that endangers the proper running of youthCON may lead to a ban from participating.

Dear teachers, dear adults…

YouthCON is an event aimed at young people aged from 13 to 24. Our varied hands-on activities offer young people the chance to try something new and become more self-sufficient. In addition, their social and intercultural skills as well as their own self-competence will be strengthened. We are more than happy for all adults to attend and get involved in order to get to know new formats and gain insights into topics that are relevant to young people. However, we would also remind you that YouthCON is a free space where young people have the freedom to try new things and develop within an extra-curricular context. Accompanying adults are nontheless responsible for supervision of their group and should always be around for any questions and problems. The FEZ takes no responsibility for this. We therefore ask you to agree on meeting points, methods of contact, rules and boundaries (e.g. no leaving the grounds or swimming in the FEZ Lake).
