Regulations When Visiting The FEZ Berlin

We have put these rules and regulations in place to make sure everyone's visit to the FEZ Berlin is as pleasant as possible. We therefore ask you to abide by them at all times.

Scope

(1) The regulations apply to the entire FEZ site, including outdoor areas, play areas and the car park.

(2) By entereing the FEZ grounds, you agree to adhere to each regulation.

(3) Separate regulations apply to the swimming pool, the FEZ Beach & Lake and the cloakroom.

(4) The managing directors and employees authorised by the managing directors are responsible for enforcing the regulations.

(5) Violations of the regulations may lead to removal from the premises, ejection from specific events and, in the most serious cases, a permanent ban from the FEZ Berlin.

Diversity & Tolerance

(6) Any discrimination, denigration or otherwiese disrespectful treatment of other guests will be treated as offences against these regulations, regardless of the legal status. Such actions and propaganda in the form of gestures, emblems, clothing, printed materials or slogans are prohibited.

First Aid, Fire Protection & Evacuation

(7) First aid kits and a defibrillator are available at the visitor service desk. A full first aid service with qualified staff is present for larger events.

(8) If necessary, the Berlin fire brigade must be informed by calling 112.

(9) In the event of fire and/or if evacuation is required for any reason, the building must be evacuated immediately via the marked escape routes and emergency exits. The alarm for evacuation is a loud bell signal (3-minute continuous tone). Additional information will be given via the public address system in the foyer.

(10) Using the lifts during an evacuation is highly dangerous and strictly prohibited. 

(11) Wheelchair users should go to the stairwells, where staff will help them to evacuate.

(12) Instructions given by FEZ employees, the fire brigade and the police must be followed at all times.

Video & Photo Recordings

(13) Sound, photo and video recordings of performances are strictly prohibited throughout the venue for copyright reasons.

(14) The FEZ Berlin reserves the right to allow sound, photo and/or video recordings or broadcasts of individual events. By purchasing a ticket, visitors declare their consent that any recordings of their person during a performance may be broadcast or published by authorised persons without any claim to remuneration.

Use of the FEZ Grounds

(15) The Straßenverkehrsordnung (German Highway Code) applies on all publicly accessible routes, paths and parking areas of the FEZ Berlin.

(16) Bicycles, scooters and similar modes of transport must be parked in front of the building in the areas provided for this purpose.

(17) Use of skateboards, inline skates and the like is not permitted in the building.

(18) Prams and pushchairs must be parked at the area provided at the visitor service desk or in other designated areas, as instructed by the staff of the visitor service desk.

(19) The consumption of food and drink is not permitted in the event rooms.

(20) Moderate consumption of alcohol is permitted in the catering establishments present at the FEZ provided that it remains in compliance with laws relating to the protection of minors. Otherwise the comsumption of alcohol is prohibited at all events where minors are present.

(21) Smoking is only permitted outside in the designated smoking areas.

(22) The consumption, distribution, preparation and possession of any substances prohibited under the Narcotic Drugs Act (Betäubungsmittelgesetz) are prohibited.

(23) Open fires and pyrotechnics are prohibited.

(24) The usage of any current collectors or similar brought onto the premises is not permitted. 

(25) The carrying or use of any weapons or dangerous objects is prohibited.

(26) Drones are prohibited from taking off, flying and landing on the entire site.

(27) Painting, spraying, stickering and any other damaging of indoor and outdoor structures and equipment is prohibitied.

(28) Blocking escape and rescue routes, misuse and/or manipulation, removal and blocking of all accident prevention, fire protection and safety equipment is prohibited.

(29) It is not permitted to bring animals onto the premises with the exception of guide dogs in accordance with the Bundesgleichstellungsgesetz (Equal Opportunities Act).

Advertising, Selling & Third-Party Events

(30) The sale of goods, trading of any kind and the offering of services, including the display of advertising material or the affixing of notices and posters, are not permitted. Any exceptions to this rule can only be decided by the FEZ management. Authorisation must be presented upon request. 

(31) No third-party or external events may take place unless the express permission of the FEZ has been granted.

Liability & Duty of Supervision

(32) You enter the premises of the FEZ Berlin at your own risk.

(33) The FEZ Berlin is neither liable for personal injury or damage to property caused by third parties, nor for the loss of property.

(34) Visitors to the FEZ Berlin are liable in accordance with applicable legal provisions.

(35) Any accidents or damage must be reported to FEZ staff immediately.

(36) The staff of the FEZ Berlin will at no point assume duty of care or supervision responsibilities. This is the sole responsibility of parents and carers.

(37) Usage of the various play apparatus sports facilities and all materials made available by the FEZ Berlin is at your own risk.
