International Children's Day

We can't let Children's Day pass by without a big party! Everybody is welcome to laugh, play and have fun at celebration where children at the centre of attention. Bring the family, bring your friends and get playing, dancing, jumping, painting, discovering, clapping, swimming and hopping!

And with perfect timing, we're happy to celebrate the opening of a new observatory on the FEZ roof on the same day.

Highlight: Astronaut Dr. Matthias Maurer As Our Guest

Appearing at the FEZ on Children's Day is European Space Agency Astronaut Dr. Matthias Maurer. He will be reporting on his mission aboard the International Space Station and answering any questions you may have. If you want to know what it's like going into space and what it looks like, this is surely one amazing opportunity.

Stage Programme

The big festival stage will be hosting a variety of performances to put a smile on your face. Including "Die Muckemacher", "Pauken und Planeten" and the "Folklore Mexiko" dance group.

ARTivisten e.V. - 'Lattin American Sounds'

Musicians from the ARTivisten e.V. association will show you a variety of instruments and the rythyms they make. Once you've seen and listened to these special instruments from Latin America, you'll have the chance to make your own.

A Party With Bert & Ernie

As if the Children's Day Party wasn't already good enough, we've only managed to get Bert and Ernie to attend as well. In particular, they'd like to celebrate the 50th anniversary of NDR's Sesame Street.

Interactive Programme

There are so many stations where you can take on creative activities as well as get to know your rights in a fun way. It's YOUR day and we've got something for everything with a wide and varied programme to check out.

That's FEZ!

All the things you love. Whether it be mini golf, bowling, trampolining or the BergWerk Mobil from Freizeit Safari. And if you're a little younger, you can also look forward to tukluks, marble runs, water play areas, pirate slides, obstacle courses, giant lego and wooden blocks. We wish you a great time!

Everything ECO! Off To The Island!

Our Eco Island has so much to discover. The mini rainforest, the house with succulent plants, the garden house, the clay ovens, the beehives and the ornate flowerbeds. There's a full programme around each of them. It's just a question of fitting it all in!

Interactive Children's Theatre

There'll be fun performances, there'll be thought-provoking performances. Rosita's Puppet Theatre for Children's Rights is the organisation behind it. Three separate shows are waiting for you:

Susi & Us - To Look Or To Look Away?

Recommended for ages 10+
An exhibition based on the book "Susi, die Enkelin von Haus Nummer 4" which deals with the topic of civil courage. The exhibition focuses on the true story of Susi Collm, a Jewish girl who was forced into hiding by the Nazis between 1942 and 1945.
